Korea 12june-17june

we were greeted with non-stop rain and very cold wind. it was the beginning of summer and i need to wear a jacket due to the cold. contradicting yet thankful at the same time.

one of the things i was worried about when going to Korea was the food. luckily, it turns out alright. i'm eating it for the sake of filling up my stomach. it was bearable. its either seafood or halal food. when i mean halal, i'm referring to middle-east, pakistani and indian cuisine. in Korea, theres no halal Korean cuisine so its kind of a waste. however, we got to taste the beef bulgoggi. delish!

the itinerary was really packed and it was kinda rushing for a tour that consists of warga tua. hehe. it was fun though. lots of sight-seeing = lots of pics. didnt upload all of them as it would take a very looooonnnngggg time.

first sight-seeing spot : Nami Island

its where K-drama Winter Sonata was filmed. the place was really beautiful. it would look nicer if it wasnt raining.

next up : Mt Seorak
another tourist attraction. the view while going up to the top of the mountain was superb. nice scenery and the wind is a bonus while hiking up the additional 100m up the mountain.

ice cream in the cold weather = two thumbs up :)

YongPyong Resort.
this place is famous for its ski resort. however, we went there during summer so of course theres no snow. there was a huge green field instead of a snowy slope. the view from the top was soooo freaking nice. oohh and i saw the sun for the first since i stepped into korea on that mountain.

next up : Everland Amusement Park

if you're wondering why there's pictures of roses and animals instead of rollercoasters, games etc, let me tell you this. IT WAS RAINING SO THE OUTDOOR RIDES WERE CLOSED! freaking disappointed!!!

here's a snapshot of one of the rollercoasters there. this ride is about 3mins long and goes 140km/hr. its too huge to be in the picture so i only took the part of its peak. too bad we cant ride it due to the weather.

we had kimchi making at Kimchi School. which kimchi looks more edible?? hehe.

we visited the wax museum over at Building 63. one of the many icons that were on display was Michael Jackson. there were many others but its too many to be uploaded. we even got to experience a 5D animation show. oh and i bought popcorn over there as i was hungry.

Gyungbokgung Palace.

it was a 2hr walk around that place. sumpah tiring but worth it.

one of the things i realised while on the trip is that you cant always have things your way. be it with items, food or whatever it is. accept whatever its given to you and dont be picky. as for me, i had to eat the food even though it wasnt to my liking. i mean theres no chilli sauce over there. so those chilli sauce lovers who wanna go there, bring your own. oh and buy plenty of soft drinks before your meal if you dont like drinking plain water coz they charged you $3-$4 for a can of pepsi that's less than 300mls. and to those who asked me to buy for you guys clothes or accessories as souveniers, i'm sorry i didnt coz of the budget and time constraint. the pricing over there is almost the same as in spore and some are even more expensive.

i really did enjoy myself over there. i wouldnt mind going there again. (:

i've got my laptop battery!! dont have to go all the way to Bukit Timah again. I began to panic when the new battery wasnt charging even after waiting for half an hour but luckily everything was alright. this time round, Z♥ didnt accompany me as he ended late. so i went to Al-Ameen all alone and drank teh ais!! hahah random. bused to Bukit Batok to meet him there. again, hoping i wouldnt get lost in the foreign land. trained to Boon Lay to catch Bounty Hunter!! love the story.

weekends were normal. i tried doing nursing lab but wth. CMS is reaaaallllyyyyy TROUBLESOME! going to get the textbook soon. hoping to study consistently this semester and not just empty words like previous semesters. hee.

Alhamdulillah. Club Crawl 2010 is over. what an experience i must say. has its moments. next up would be Orientation 2010. i really must say this. events couldnt be organised properly without the help and coorperation of all members. so please, try and cooperate. i guess i have to spend more this month for my phone bill. too many smses were sent and not many replied. i tried my best bt i get this kind of things. all i can do at times like this is to be patient.

i guess that's all. another week ahead. hope its better than the previous one.

this should be updated like a week ago but due to my lazyness, this shall be updated now instead.

attachment is over. those three weeks passed by real quick and before everyone knew it, it was already the last of attachment. even though i was counting down the days to the end of attachment, i couldnt deny the tinge of sadness about leaving the ward. i learnt a lot of things during my days there, be it from the staffs, year 2s, and my lecturer. i began to know a whole lot more of other things and this does widen my knowledge on things. thank you to everyone for your guidance.

an sms woke me up early in the morning. i took my itouch to check my email when suddenly mum just barge into my room. she started saying stuffs abt me not doing chores since i bought that gadget blabla and even got hit at the arm by a hanger. i met with them in an attempt to study or at least to focus my attention on something else. everyone's mood was down. everyone was struggling. and so, we became this. everyone was restless. the day started bad enough. not to mention this. so does this explain why i didnt have a good day?

school lasted for an hour half on thursday - has both its pros and cons.
Valentine's Day was awesome. romantic story with a touch of comedy. 3.5/5 stars.
movie ended pretty early for us and we were clueless on what to do next.

i wont be going out later. picnic with DINKSS is cancelled.
being stuck at home for 3 days kind of bore me.

Exercise Day!

so basically, we went to bedok reservoir.

after a year or so of not exercising, i have to admit this - my stamina has decreased drastically. i did three sets of circuit training (10 sit ups, 10 idk what its called, 5 inclined pull ups, 10 idk what its called) and i was already tired. i sprinted for a short distance and i was already panting. obviously, he did more than me.

yadayadayada. currently in bio lecture and the lecture hall is effing noisy. tsk! anatomy and physiology of the male reproductive system is complete. i got teased for answering those tutorial qns. tsk! jahat eh korang. speaking of bio, i got the results back. alhamdulillah.

i still cant drink cold drinks right. hurts my throat. i'm wondering how i even got that sore throat. on the plus side, no signs of fever. at least the body aches are gone. finally got my peaceful sleep ystd night.

alhamdulillah. i passed my HA and customer service test. i just realised that i'm one of those who has high expectations of themselves when it comes to grades when i got a borderline pass for both test. no complains, i have to be grateful. amin.

i've been cranky this past week. i need some time out. i guess this was what i needed before hitting the books for bio practical and wound dressing. two tests on two consecutive days. just great.

who else would entertain my nonsence besides him, or rather me entertaining him. full of nonsence tau this boy. this is just a snippet of what he did that night.

the past week has been really really tiring with dk trainings from mon-wed and the performance for the next three days. kecoh abis. first time reaching school at 7 for hair and make up. show was nearly cancelled on saturday due to shortage of time. i was really fed up by FB. seriously, their song was freaking long and they were not told to cut it short. AND, they went up one more time after our show. irritatings! but nvm, its all over. a week's break before training resumes.

back to reality. Customer Service on tues, HA on weds and most prolly Child Bearing presentation on the same day. meeting for Sociology on tues and i havent done anything yet. gah!!

i guess i just have to deal with it. a friend of mine commented, "girls are thinkers". i guess i agree with that statement to a large extent. those who have known me for quite some time should know that i can get emotional over the slightest matter. a small matter could linger arnd me for quite some time before i could finally accept the fact. i just realised that i dont really like changes. i just realised that i dont really like the fact that i have to constantly adapt to new changes. its quite frustrating knowing that i cant do anything about it but to just accept. despite all these, i cant really blame anyone for it. i wasnt angry over any of these. its just that its so frustrating that sometimes i feel like i'm a timebomb ready to explode. i've lived this way for the past 17years of my life and for me to change this effing attitude of mine will prolly take months, or even years if i really really put my body, mind and soul into it. i'm not sure if i can take it. i may even break down or give up along the way. i have to be strong. i just have to.

i just realised i dont have pictures of us during secondary school days in this lappy. looking at the pictures on iry's blog really do bring back memories. it's been a year since we went separate ways. i miss those mornings where we'll meet up at the parade ground for small talks during assembly, going to toilets during POA, physics etc, sitting together during recess, meeting up before night study sessions, going to airport weeks before exams, enduring each other's moodswings throughout 2008, being there for one another, and the list goes on. as 2009 passed by, we find it difficult to organise an outing with everyone there. its going to be harder as 2010 approaches. please let's all keep in contact with each other ok people. rindu korangs many many :)

havent been eating a lot this hols. no mood i guess. its that or my cravings didnt act up. speaking of eating, i had late lunch/early dinner at Secret Recipe on weds with ZB. the last time i ate anything from there was like 3 years ago at Cameron Highlands? this time, i tried the new dish - Chicken Baked Rice. yummy mummy! it was big and i only managed to eat like 3/4 of it before giving it to ZB. my personal food finisher. hehe.

okay so i didnt go to school today. why? i fell asleep ystd even before i started on my school work. my laptop even ran out of battery. i didnt even set the alarm for today, causing me to wake up at 10! and to think of it, it would be quite a waste of time if i went to sch just for 1hr bio lab and 1hr of comm lect. i just think that the time wasted there could be spent more effectively at home studying. even the travelling takes time. not to mention me getting ready and keeping the house clean. and because of me skipping school today, i have to check my attendance tomorrow. i just checked my email and found out that i received a 1st reminder letter for 1089. this was before i surrendered my excuse letter. have to clarify that tomorrow. and speaking of tomorrow, i have that bloody theory test that i'm not confident at thanks to that lahabao. and to make things worse (or better if i have positive thinking), the test is at 5pm! 4hrs of waiting! you think i'll be studying? cramming some last minute stuff in my bloody head? u bet i will! or i hope i will! and why am i cramming all these in one long paragraph. i bet no one will read this, and i mean no one! urghurghurgh!!!!

walked around Orchard in search for my birthday present. yes, i get to choose my birthday present. this time round, i prefer sneakers to lady's cut shoes. late dinner was at KFC much to zat's delight. him without fastfood for a week is torture (in my opinion that is).

i collected my two pairs of pants earlier today with zat. visited singtel outlet. considering on getting a new phone with plan. told dad about it and decision still pending. have to make a new bank account soon so that i could start saving up.

i'm thinking about tomorrow. i just found out that Case 39 is actually a horror movie. alternative would be new moon. i only had a 2 hr lesson today and i seriously think that my time was wasted. no point getting angry. she wont get any better at teaching anyway.

Layar Andayu 2009 went smoothly despite all the setbacks that we faced during the 6 months of training. the feedbacks we received were good. congratulations to all the members that were involved in this production. a big THANK YOU to the instructors/alumni/seniors who guided us throughout this journey. without you guys, the production wouldnt be a success. a memory i will keep, especially this - "SUARE!".

the week didnt past by smoothly. i wasnt myself. those closed ones should know. everything that's going on around me just seem so wrong that it irritates me. i got angry over the slightest thing and damn!, there goes my day. i was glad that i still have those few to depend on during this period of time. i tried to smile every single day. start a day with a smile.

as i sat on the stone cold wooden plank, different thoughts overwhelmed me. i couldnt keep it in. its bothering me. i need to let it out. a hug was what i need. someone to just listen to me. someone to comfort me.

yes, i'm supposed to be busy working on my ICAs right now. but whenever i switched on the laptop, the pile of things that is supposed to be done vanished from my mind. for example, 1088 is due on week 16 which is like 3 months from now. a topic is yet to be decided for 1089 and we're waiting for the lecturer's opinion for 1098. as for 1097 and 1090, we've yet to discussed on how we're going to approach.

on a bright note, i had fun today even though it was a short meet-up. pasta with cream sauce and meatballs at Banquet Raffles Hospital is nice but it was too creamy. i nearly puke after eating 3/4 of it and zat's 1/4 fish. orange tic tac saved me from puking. zat was in a good mood too, which makes my day a great one.

i guess i'm going to have a busy week ahead.

its been a tiring week. just see how many i've slept during lectures from mon-fri. i even slept during bio lecture. so dead meat. ICA topics have been distributed and i guess my group is not that lucky this semester. so far, two ICAs to be presented during the last week. decided to change with the other group so we could present first. this means i'll have a teeny weeny bit of time to rest before putting in all my efforts. i really do want that 3.4 y'know.

LA trainings are gonna get hectic in one week's time. really have to instill that sense of urgency. the date is drawing nearer. to those who wants to go for Layar Andayu 2009, tickets are up for grabs. i tink my face looks scary in the poster, which is so unlike me.

last week, i watched 5ooDaysOfSummer. this week, i watched Jennifer's Body. bf brought home some memories while playing scissors paper stone. sungguh mentaltorturing!

time for an update. this space of mine is getting dusty.

school has started and i'm tired. almost everyday, we'll be starving in the lecture hall coz our break time is at one. one good thing is that i'll only start at 8 on fridays and for the rest of the days, it'll be at 9. big smiles. there's more nursing lab sessions for this semester and two modules where there's no exams but instead, assessments. dush! as i flipped through the bio lecture notes, the topics are getting harder with 22 lectures consisting of the nervous system and some other stuff. i guess i really have to pay attention for this one. as for the others, lets just hope my eyes AND ears are open.

i satisfied my craving for pastamania after training on saturday. thanks mardy for the company. i really do eat slowly. it was my first time stepping foot on yishun by the way. i almost gave up my purpose for going there.

23rd october. Sang Singa Purba's Mukikaraya. together with zat, mardy and taufiq, i catched my first ever production. seeing them makes me feel motivated to do my best for 20th Nov. eventhough i'm just carrying a small role, i still have to give my all.

i've been feeling tired lately. i've been dozing off most of the days. i guess what my mum said was true. i need to start taking vitamins. the thought of her saying "i told you to take vitamins kan!" just makes me feel ____. ego, hah!

my first ever attachment is finally over. this week's tiredness has accumulated to this day and yes, i'm shagged! we had cake and some admin stuff. thank you all for your guidance :).

on wednesday, i went raya with this bunch minus khai. only get to see him during the last part of the day. there's still next weds u guess. full attendance this time.

i did some thinking earlier today. i'm adapting/adapted to more things this year. there's really so many things to adapt to this year until i got to a point where things will constantly change. nothing will ever remain the same forever. sometimes, i really do miss some things in the past.

attachment began on the 3rd day of Syawal. first was no doubt boring but it wasnt that bad towards the end of the day. as days passed by, i began to get the hang of things going on in the ward and also to work together with the others who wasnt in the same tutorial group as me. its different from what we're taugh in school. by the end of the day, my legs would be aching and the energy level in body has decreased drastically.

on top of attachment, i still have to make time for raya visiting with the family. i'll prove to my mum that i DO have feelings for small kids even though i dont show it.

ni dua budak irritating snapped a picture of themselves and set it as my handphone wallpaper. pikir muka korang byk punya lawa ! ciiiisss!

i find that cats are cute especially this one but i just cant bring myself to pat them once. i jokingly called out to this cat and it actually came near me. one way to not be scared of cats is to actually pat them.

i guess i cant play any games be it during boredom or under emotional distress. reason being so is because i'll get irritated easily, thus resulting in losing. i mean, who likes to lose. i havent won a single game of hearts which i recently learnt how to play. i'll be @#$ if i see that queen of spade card and @#$% even more when i got that freaking 13 points. sungguh irritating.

usually when i'm bored, i'll just switch on my lappy but i guess that wasnt my solution today. i just cant find anything interesting to do. eventhough i have like 100 plus contacts in my msn list, i rarely chat with most of them. they're just there for the sake of being there. even card games dont interest me. nothing to watch on youtube. no interesting movies i want to watch online. basically, there was nothing that interest me today.

feel kind of odd nt having someone to chat with on msn at this time. been a habit since the holiday started to have someone to chat with but not today. no worries though. i dont know why but i feel like doing some self-reflection. i feel as though there's a change in me but i wonder whether is it for better or the worse. i guess the answer to that will be from those around me as i cant quite figure it out myself. asked boyfriend some questions earlier today. its kind of random though.

on another note, i'm required to go for a blood test later. appointment's at 1030, which means i'm starting my day early. i'm sure i'll start to lose my energy by 2pm. luckily, i'm not going alone later on. i tend to be self-conscious when i'm at a foreign place. i know i shouldnt be feeling that way since i'm already 16+ years old but hey, that's a natural reaction. does that mean i have low self-esteem? i wonder..

Arnolds at City Plaza with this bunch plus alot more others. thanks mus for organizing all this. another round at geylang for me while its the first for the rest. dendeng and air kathira was what i was searching for. i must admit that i did eat alot today. took the train from eunos. while the rest head home or lepak, i met up with parents and went to eat at simpang. yes, i eat again. seafood carbonara and dad's salad/salad. what can i say, i'm a growing kid. hee.

diy and me went to pray at darul argam while the boys went to wak tanjong. like mum said, the place is simple yet nice. natassa said something so hilarious. i wonder where she even got the name. everyone went home with the same smell - bau geylang.

an outing once in a while with you guys sure does bring a smile to my face. hope u guys enjoy ur day as much as i did.

we made a decision to meet on every teacher's day and yesterday was the first. eventhough we did meet up a few times several months ago, yesterday's was the one where everyone was present. i dont know why but i'm able to be myself whenever i'm with them. they'll still entertain my nonsense and that really did put a smile on my face.

dunman has changed. the places where i used to spend my free time were all gone. not literally though. the piano area has been changed to a staff room, 4F classroom has moved to the old block, the toilets has been renovated and of coz, the dnt workshop has been painted. the place where i spent most of my time after school trying to finish up my coursework last year. one thing's wasted was that we didnt get to try the food there since it was the fasting month.

my first time to break fast together with zat. simpang bedok was where we ate thanks to him wanting to eat cheesefries. unexpectedy, he finished up his rice and helped me to finish up mine. not to mention the cheesefries. the boy with the big appetite. heee.

so again, we went at the wrong timing. to substitute that, adlin made an impromptu plan to geylang just to buy dendeng. random much. well, it'll be pretty late if we try out TAPAC so might as well we enjoy the rest of night by finding some nice food. we figured it'll be boring to go just the both of us and so, adlin asked hasif along since he stays near there.

one thing funny when we got there was that both us were more interested in everyday clothes than at the baju kurungs that were sold there. in the end, adlin bought a skirt which is exactly the same design as mine. and worst still, she got it at $15 whereas i bought mine at $30! i've been cheated! heee. i bought something too. bumped into lydia and rya there. the only two i recognised there whereas hasif and adlin bumped into so many people.

adlin bought her dendeng and i bought air kathira. mcm orang jakun gitu first time minum air kathira. hee. and so, with our very very thick skins, we sat at KFC to eat dendeng. adlin was pretty much annoyed with hasif's nonsence. layankan.com. lol. btw, i just found out that adlin too didnt know what iftar is. same same la tu eh adlin. heee.

throughout the whole time, adlin was spouting nonsence about some freak accident and what if we were in there. sungguh WTH. and of coz i was freaked out since that movie. nasib aku tk smack kau adlin. aku kawan yg baik. heee. and so, i reached home safely at 11:45pm.

i'm tired. i know everyone is, what with work and school. but that doesnt mean that you dont have to care about your surroundings. the clothes that's been washed and waiting to be fold, the unmade bed waiting for someone to made it for u, the dusty floor thats waiting to be swept. i'm really frustrated always having me to do all these while the rest just leaves for school. korang pun da besar kan. pandai pandai la tolong sane sini. i know i'm spending most of my time at home nowadays but the workload still has to spread equally.

i just realised that i misread the SAQ qns for bio paper just now. i shouldve done qn 2 instead of 3. urgh! this always happen. since secondary school, the qns picked were always wrong. urgh!!! i'm left with one more paper which is FamComm. tu lagi satu hal. langsung tkde kene mengena dgn nursing. irritating tau tk kene blaja ni sume. kalau sikit tkpe tau. to make matters worse, majority of it will be MCQ and even that requires lots and lots of memorising. i dont think my GPA for this semester will be good. just thinking of that makes me feel so dejected.

and now, the cramp is getting worse.

currently at the school library. trying to study for psycho but still to no avail. i dont know why i can endure 30 lectures of Safety but not 19 lectures of Psycho. as expected, i slept before even starting. its in my system i guess. sleep, sleep and MORE sleep. my day was so boring till its giving me a mega headache. bf is out with his friends so i shouldnt disturb him. mom,sis and bro went to help out with granny's catering thing while dad went to work. there wasnt any food except maggi and so i had to make do with it. but! the water was too much and the egg yolk burst, causing my maggi to taste awful. i cant bring myself to finish it and that resulted in me not wanting to eat maggi for the evening. i dragged myself to tampines to buy my dinner and i bumped into the kfc guy which asked for my number a few months ago. irritating sungguh! after dinner, i met up with adlin and being a good friend, i walked her to her friend's block for some function. and now, i'm waiting for my family to return home.

will be going to the Padang to watch NDP with BATA girls. sungguh unglam to call ourselves that. haha!

i'm wondering what the hell is wrong with blogger. i had to rely on photobucket just so i could post an entry with a picture in it. for my case, i had to resize the picture so that it'll not appear big in the post. troublesome?

i had training from monday to wednesday. productive, yes. waste of time, no. learnt quite a number of things eg. detailed acting. and yes, its hard for a freshie like me.

i think my uniform pants are a bit baggy. mum says its ok but friends say its big. i dont know. and yes, its seen through with the presence of Mr Sunshine.

just when i'm all enthusiastic about going for SW, it turns out there wasnt training. why must it be the wrong days?

there's so many things that's going on right now. with the fact that adlin might be transferring, i feel as though one of my best friends is leaving the country. i dont know. i need someone to talk to sometimes when i'm down, problems i could share with etc. please jgn transfer :(.

i just want to let out everything here but i cant.

its one of those nights when i just dont feel like sleeping.
this is what happen when i fell asleep almost everyday of the week while smsing.
speaking of that, i feel bad but i cant helped it.
i dont want to sleep yet but somehow, i'll end up felling asleep.

i left my footprints at pasir ris park earlier today.
there was some background music for entertainment while i was there.
what else could i do to accompany that piece of entertainment but to join in.
the sun wasnt out today and there was a cool breeze, which makes it enjoyable.
its a must to sit on the breakwater or walk along the beach.

its usually hard for me to change my mind about what i like and what i dont.
but just now, i did. you know, i know.

i woke up late this morning. i was wondering why my alarm didnt ring. when i checked my phone, the clock shows 1830hrs. at the moment, i realised my mistake. when i set the clock time on my phone the previous, i put it as 1030hrs instead of 2230 hrs. no wonder my alarm didnt ring. thanks to my dumb mistake, i wasted $17 on a cab and reached sch at 730am.

i must say that this week went by slowly. i cant explain it. maybe its due to the lack of things to do or i'm not having at meet ups or whatever. my sis is on 4 days mc and she's rotting at home. besides her, kherya, aerzam and mardy are on mc too. get well soon peeps!

bio practical results are out and i got a C+. according to mardy, its one mark below a B. zzz! and i thought i could get a B or an A. shouldnt have skipped that practical tutorial on bones or i could've get that A. i shall learn from my mistakes and score well for the final paper.

i went to school without using powder or eyeliner. some said i look weird, some said i look normal. oh, i went swimming too and now i'm a shade darker than my normal skin tone. no worries though.

evaluation for the day : very disorganised. those who talked to me today will know why.
evaluation for the past 5 days: slow but fine. not one of the greatest though. and definitely nerve-wrecking. you know, i know.

i guess we're out in the open now.

turns out that both of us wore the same color - grey.
i guess i spent most of my day with him.
asking him to plan for everything today, he decided on Fort Canning Park.
made our way just by relying on the map site at City Hall Station and our sense of direction.
no humidity detected while making our way there - just the brightness and slight wind every now and then.
the slopes and stairs werent expected, resulted in stopping every now and then.
the insects were being friendly and comfortable with us, mostly me.
sucking my blood from both of my feet seems to be the mosquitoes' hobby.
of course, pictures are a must.
however, none was satisfactory.
back on our feet when evening approaches.
early dinner was at KFC - the boyfriend's treat. :D.
more walking followed after and when we couldnt take it much longer, the library became our temporary resting place.
fairy tales suddenly became an interest to me.
bubbletea was suddenly craved by us.
home sweet home, bringing along another memory of us.

eventhough my leg is aching, i did have fun.

aloha! i'm bored. i got nothing to do.

i slept at 5 am again. omg! a week without k. variety shows and this was the result.
i just finished preparing my Psychology slides which was due like weeks ago. presentation day has been confirmed. On the same day, i have my NG Tube Feeding practical test as well. imagine me wearing formal attire while taking the test. sungguh tk selesa.

its been a long time since i went for SW pract. i dont think i can commit any more, with MCG training, tests, presentations and all. there's no training on monday so i guess i could make plans to meet zat the balloon. *smile wide wide*

fasting month is coming soon and i'm already thinking about my baju kurung. what color should i choose this year? brown? heheh.

currently watching Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets. speaking of Harry Potter, i cant wait for Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince to premier next week.

all-time favourite, Daniel Radcliffe. :) anyone want to watch this movie with me next week? *hinthint*
